For work areas where stable protection and clean, high quality air is required – such as filling and transferring, weighing and sampling of active pharmaceutical ingredients, washing, cleaning, refining and other applications under containment requirements – the WIBObarrier® system is the ideal choice. Featuring an innovative workstation that operates in accordance to the three zone principles, it uses an outlet nozzle integrated in the front hood region to establish a clean air curtain and protect employees, products and the surrounding areas.
By acting as a magnet, the barrier curtain can attract the particles that escape the product area, taking them directly to the extractor. Even particles occurring outside of the work area where the employee may be working, are captured within the clean air barrier; ensuring the product remains contamination-free. The production area itself is filled with HEPA filtered clean air, and the barrier curtain protects against any turbulence that may be caused by the employee’s movements.
The WIBObarrier® was developed to comply with product exposure in accordance with occupational exposure limits and clean air quality, as per the DIN EN ISO 14644-1. These systems are available as closed systems (CCS – closed containment system) and as opens systems (OCS – open containment system).
The WIBObarrier® LAB containment system was developed alongside Glatt, an Excellence United Partner. All WIBObarrier® systems are available as duo systems, horizontal flow systems or Drum Port® systems. Decanting stations and material sluices complete the range.
